Following on from something someone said in tv section. if you were about to sleep with someone and they then told you they had aids would you continue if you were using condoms?

I dont know, i think i woudl be so shocked that they told me at that point that i think i would loose the urge to want sex anyway, so no i wouldn't, can you imainge just being told right at that moment thats a nightmare.

I don't think I would.

You use condoms just in case..you don't know whether people have diseases or not, so you protect yourself. If you are given that info right there on a plate it is a different situation entirely..

personally i dont need to use them now but in the past ive lost count of the times they have split or come off.

Personally unless u ask to see a persons medically history I dont think you can be totally safe.

I couldn�t and I don�t know if that is bad to think that way. But I guess you never know till it happens. Maybe if I was in a really loving relationship married etc and they contracted it I could bring myself to, but for the sake of a one night stand no way. But then if you were in a relationship what if you wanted children?

surely a person who is living with aids is responsible enough to tell you long before that point.

i think that folk with aids are probably more safety concious than folk without .

although there will always be folk who dont care either way.

i cant see myself getting into a situation like that.
if i did id have to decline their offer tho.

They would be more likely to tell you that they had HIV rather than AIDS. AIDs is the illness you develop from HIV.

Would it not make sense for sufferers to date other sufferers so they can have as much kinky, dirty, unprotected sex as animalistically possible?

Yes CD, I understand they are two different things ~ I also know that an HIV sufferer won't neccesarily develop full blown AIDS.

However the Q still applies, and while I can see where you are coming from there is still the chance that one could encounter a person with AIDS and have the desire to sleep with them. I know of a guy on an internet forum who has AIDS and regularly has sex with random partners ('safely' of course)

I have seen a photo of him and although he is a slim chap I wouldn't know he had AIDS at all due to the cocktail of meds he takes every day. I imagine he would have to tell these people he has AIDS as you wouldn't know otherwise..
