Don't want to be picky but why on earth do a large proportion of people not know how to spell ' does ' ?

I can think of more important things to get worked up over.
pmsl @ red

cow.....lol
Agree daffy, it's not worth getting worked up about, and I don't (honest) but seeing as the topic's been brought up I threw in my 2p's worth.
When I first started using the internet I used to get really snobbish about other people's bad spelling and used to pull people up about, now I just can't be bothered.lol. We all make spelling mistakes occasionally and typos are common so nowadays I just ignore it and try to read what the person is trying to say instead. I do admit to getting p****d off by text speak though, that is just laziness.
Here Here aka.
It's text speak that really irritates the hell out of me.
Well said akapixi & daffy - there may be lots of reasons why people make spelling mistakes, etc., & people should be a little more tolerant!

I use ampersands for quickness on here & in quick notes, but not in letters to people.
....However, I don't like 'text speak' either!

Redcrx, that's an eye - opener !!!!!
Thanks for your opinions everybody x x
Not everyone is a typist, does it really matter about punctuation and spelling when your typing in a hurry, and at least taking part? I couldn't give a monkeys

Sometimes people post about valid and serious points, then some nutter ruins the post by pulling them up on grammar and spelling, pointless really.

Get a grip lol
..............and, using the English language, you cannot place two positives adjacent to each other in order to form a negative.............Yeah, right!

.............and, remember, children; 'i' before 'e' except after 'c'. Isn't that weird?
Peepy, I agree with many of the posts that it does not really matter.

I am fairly intelligent yet never use a spell or grammer checker and often get things wrong. Worse still, I often place an extra word in a sentence for no reason whatsoever.

However, I do so enjoy when people argue and pick up on my grammer/spelling when in their silly squabble they make obvious mistakes themselves.

Not wishing to be argumentative but even your question is wrong. When I went to school earth as a planet was a name, hence Earth. With a small e, surely this means soil???

See my point?

I have my own website, teeming with good people, but I have to admit that I don't tolerate bad speling or syntax. One 'would of' and you are out. Loose is the worst though.

It isn't LOOSE, it is LOSE.

LOOSE is when your trousers are falling down. If you drop money you LOSE it, you don't LOOSE it.
Well you could lose loose change.
In the workplace I agree...

...but why pick on it here?????
