Bad news

Baby grape is very ill at the moment has been in hospital since friday he has meningitus i am worried sick!
The hospital say it hard to tell right now how he will get on with the treatment!
I have been sent home for the afternoon to try and relax easier said than done

My nephew had bacterial meningitis and was treated with antibiotics, he is a big lad of 15 now and doing well. My heart goes out to you as I know it can be a trying time for you and your family. You'll be in my thoughts. Be strong & Take Care of yourself. xxxx

You might, by now and with LUCK!! know how things are going.... my prayers and thoughts are with you. Its a very nasty disease but sometimes things go right. Please let us know, one way or the other. If it's any consolation, I know of an awful lot of cases (I mean people) who have recovered totally.

So sorry to hear that baby grape is so poorly. You must be at your wits end with worry. Sick children make you feel so helpless don't they. So, so sorry to hear about your Son.
My Son suffered from that when he was 14years of age. He was in isolation unit for a week.
He is an adult now and very healthy.

Me and my family are praying for Baby grape as well as for my niece`s little girl who has been on a ventilator since Saturday with bacterial meniningitis/septicaemia.
It`s frightening, she was rushed to Manchester from our local hospital with a specialist team to escort her.
Just had a text from my sister, they`ve taken her off the ventilator and she`s breathing ok, but still asleep. I think we should know shortly if she`s pulled through ok.
You`re probably back at the hospital now with your little one, you have a lot of prayers with you.
Please let us all know how he`s going on when you get the chance.

oldgrape, lots of get well wishes for baby grape, my heart goes out to you at this worrying and stressful time-you must feel bereft, but be reassured that hospital staff will be working so hard to look after him. I know it's easier said than done, as you say, but try and get a snack and a couple of hours sleep, some rest might calm your nerves a little.

Thanks leelapops, my niece has rung her mum, and although her baby hasn`t woken up yet she seems to be aware as she moves slightly when touched.
She`s only 20 months old, poor little poppet, Can`t wait to see her running around again,
