Who or what put a smile on your face today.

As some of you will know, my Hubby has been quite ill again with Cancer and into his first week of chemo.
Well, he felt a bit better today so decided to make simple dinner for us as we have had a terrible week.
He cooked steaks, veg and when he brought the meal through, the chips were all cut in the letters. LUV YOU.
I felt great. Does your other half ever surprise you with small meaningful gestures.

Keeping every good thought I can for you and hubby Cruella x a guy with such a good heart and such a loving wife will come through it I just know it :-)
my smiling moment was in church (not something I normally do but was being godparent to my friends daughter) and her little boy (who adores toy tools and takes some everywhere with him) whispered very loudly right in the middle of the service "Dad, have you seen my hammer?!"
Kids seem the best medicine :-)

You're all so lovely - brought a smile to my face on reading all your posts! Cruella, love, big hugs to you & Hubby - that was so romantic!! You know I've got fingers crossed for you both. I once came home from a business trip, when K. Jnr was only about 2, and hubby had strung a big sign across the living room ceiling "We love you, Mum!" - no apparent reason, but it was lovely! K xxx
That's really beautiful cruella - I hope he has many more good days while he is on his treatment and many more afterwards as well.
2 things made me smile today -
My seven year old son lying on his bed stark naked reading the Beano and tapping his foot along to Johhny Cash's Ring of Fire - his favourite song at the moment - with not a care in the world.
My 6 year old finding his old matted (much loved) stuffed kitten that he has had since he was a baby, after crying his eyes out all day as he thought he had left it on holiday. The smile on his face was priceless.

oooh jules what a coincidence, me too!
I've spent all day entertaining my twin nephews at the park, which is enough in itself to make me smile, but then one of them got caught on the rope frame and shouted out "Oww I've hurt my todge!" and I really had to fight back the tears of laughter :) They always manage to make me smile :)

Haha hau! Hi everyone, nice to see you this eve. cruella, I have tears of happy/sad running down my face, this thread is so lovely. I hope mr c's good days far outweigh the bad. It can't be easy for you, but you sound as if you've kept your magic :) My thoughts to you both, for what they are worth.
Grape's thread made me smile, Ice Age made me smile, my friend telling me her Sims character (male) had been abducted by aliens and returned pregnant to give birth to a green alien girl made me smile, my dog celebrating his 3rd birthday made me smile...We are so lucky!
The chips thing is lovely cruella. When I first stayed over at my partner's house, in the morning he made me crumpets with jam and cut them into heart shapes :) He still does it occasionally now. Learnt this year that relationships need MORE not less effort as they grow, so really trying. X

Hi Cruella, your bloke sounds great, and as a fellow cancer sufferer and chemo patient, I know the effort that it would have taken to do that. It does, however, give a great sense of satisfaction to do something for the ones we love rather than having everything done for us. Keep going, chemo does end eventually, I have my last one next wednesday and I cant wait to have some real home made chips with an egg to dip them into lol.
