adult literacy

Hi
Does anybody know how an adult can be tested for reading and spelling?? Need to know if its dyslexia or just ability.
Do local colleges do an assessment if you sign just for adult literacy class?? thanx

I would also imagine that you could do a basic literacy test at your local college, the tutors should be able to give you info on courses for basic literacy or courses designed for people with dyslexia
