Can't stand prawn cocktails!
As long as I've been alive legend
me, me, me

Not many presents this year, just a nice time with the family...
And, no, I don't need a special day to be nice, I am (almost) always nice, but christmas is cool!
I was going to answer but I had to go and do something. Unless it's somebody's funeral or Christmas I don't see my whole family at the same time because we are all grown up and I live in a city which is 100 miles away. Takes 3 hours on a bus to get there so it's only really during holidays that I get to see them. Still pop in when I'm in the area if I can and they come and see me at birthdays and if they need to come up for work stuff but apart from that it's just really difficult to find the time. Would be great if I could get ****** with them more but that's just the way it goes.
Actually Rev it's the other way round ;o)

Christmas as we celebrate it comes from the pagan festival of Winter..the Christians did a ''If you can't beat em join em'' and decided to tack Christs birth onto it....ditto Easter, with his death and ressurection.

It is with this that I agree with the JWs. Christmas should be celebrated the pagan way!

I agree with unruly x
< 26 yr old big kid who has asked for toys this xmas as usual, and will be sat playing with these prementioned toys throughout the xmas period while older folks act like grumpies, with their socks and eat me dates!

Yes I love xmas, oh and the fact it is the only hoilday time I get all year, will take 2 weeks off work.
Thats what I meant Pip, pagan festivals were hijacked lol its that cup of funny bromide tea thats sent me funny....
I have a love hate thing with xmas, I look forward to it but when its finally here I cant wait for it to go away so life can go back to normal
Yeah the pagan festival celebrates the days getting longer. Good a reason as any to celebrate, least hostile time of the year passing, sunlight increasing every day. Whole year to look forward to...
Plus the weather is always wet/damp/overcast

Load of rubbish telly and sandwiches made with the left over meat
I must admit I hate Christmas but the last few years have been enjoyable because I have young nephews and I now have a son of my own so this Christmas is his first one. It makes things a bit more bearable because otherwise I tend just to spend the day wishing I could do normal things instead of festive things. This year I can't wait to see my son play with his helium balloon :)
the shops are full of loonatics, the shelves are full of party food I yearn for a leftover meat sandwich, anyday rather than a cheese football

Me!
I think Christmas day is one big let down.
All the hype in the run up to it.
The food we eat we can also get all year round now. This sounds like a real bah humbug! lol
I am also working Christams day which is a bummer. Still someone has to do it!
I can't wait for this Christmas, it's my baby son's first one!! Me and his Dad are so excited, even though he won't have a clue what's going on, we are still really looking forward to it all.
Hope you have a lovely Christmas with your little baby boy smudge 742.

It's wonderful watching them staring at the the tree lights for the first time & ruffling the wrapping paper! Next year will be even better!
