I was going to answer but I had to go and do something. Unless it's somebody's funeral or Christmas I don't see my whole family at the same time because we are all grown up and I live in a city which is 100 miles away. Takes 3 hours on a bus to get there so it's only really during holidays that I get to see them. Still pop in when I'm in the area if I can and they come and see me at birthdays and if they need to come up for work stuff but apart from that it's just really difficult to find the time. Would be great if I could get ****** with them more but that's just the way it goes.
Actually Rev it's the other way round ;o)
Christmas as we celebrate it comes from the pagan festival of Winter..the Christians did a ''If you can't beat em join em'' and decided to tack Christs birth onto it....ditto Easter, with his death and ressurection.
It is with this that I agree with the JWs. Christmas should be celebrated the pagan way!
I agree with unruly x

< 26 yr old big kid who has asked for toys this xmas as usual, and will be sat playing with these prementioned toys throughout the xmas period while older folks act like grumpies, with their socks and eat me dates!
Yes I love xmas, oh and the fact it is the only hoilday time I get all year, will take 2 weeks off work.

I must admit I hate Christmas but the last few years have been enjoyable because I have young nephews and I now have a son of my own so this Christmas is his first one. It makes things a bit more bearable because otherwise I tend just to spend the day wishing I could do normal things instead of festive things. This year I can't wait to see my son play with his helium balloon :)
