I have recently started seeing a man, we're not exclusive, yet, and we havent had sex, yet. I have HPV and know that i will tell him. But when? I dont want to scare him, but he should have a chance to make up his mind about it and me. But when do I tell him? I dont want to wait until I really like him, just in case he cant accept my STD, but if he doesnt know me that well he will just run. Confused!

I was told (by a nurse when I had my first smear years ago) that to be sexually active and to not have had HPV at some time was a rare thing these days.
That condoms don't prevent it and rarely do you get symptoms. All they can do is do regular smears for all women (and now they have the vax).
That it can go away once your immune system gets on to it.

If it makes you feel any better I have herpes and my bird doesn't know yet (unless one of my mates has let on to her behind my back.) We've been intimate but I always use condoms. I've not passed it on to any of the women I've been with since getting it (5 out of 5 isn't bad eh?) It has meant I must wear condoms all my life until I find the one I want to be with and even then she's got to not run a mile when I tell her. I'm thinking I'll ask her to marry me first and then I'll tell her. In fact doctors recommend that if a couple are to have kids and the woman hasn't caught it yet, it's best that she catches it first as the subsequent outbreaks are worse. I got a lot of stick when I asked a question on here about it too so don't pay any attention to them, just try and be careful from now on and if the worst happens at least you can say you always tried not to pass it on. It's you that's got to live with it just now and you can't expect your life to stop just because of a minor inconvienience like that. Good luck! And if all else fails there is this, it's crap for the UK but US has good coverage I think. http://www.mpwh.com/

Sorry the first outbreak is always the worse so it could cause complications if caught when she's about to drop. Don't know what I was thinking there!
Telling someone about having Genital Warts is never easy but sometimes it works out because they have it to and are waiting for the right time. Hopefully it works out, just make sure you tell him before you do anything life changing.
I would wait until you are quite close and you trust him just so he doesn't go around telling everyone out there.

Then just sit him down and give him all of the facts. He may not even know what HPV is exactly. Here's an article that might help. http://yourstdhelp.co...rtner_about_stds.html

Good luck.
