Hi has anyone had treatment with these? Spoke to a friend today, she said her hearing improved after one session. Had a look on a couple of websites, most of the reports were positive, although some suggested that the candles don't actually extract earwax,as many practitioners claim, but soften it so it disperses naturally. Anyhow, any opinions on the effectiveness appreciated, ta!
Had this done at a health show. Haven't got problems with my ears so no difference. Didn't like the experience tho it isn't uncomfortable. Just the thought of something burning stuck in your ear.
Still a lot of practitioners and users believe that the candle draws ear wax out. It doesn't. Some even unwrap the candle and show residue inside as ear wax. It isn't.
I am told that if you want to see benefit from these candles it takes more than one treatment.
I haven't had the treatment done on myself, athough i watched someone i no do it on another person, and the results were good. It helps to loosen all the wax, and sucks some of it up.
A few treatments would be better, to feel the affects more, but after the first time, you can hear a difference aswell.
my ears were quite blocked, Hopi made absolutely no difference. I think that the fact that it costs money makes you feel better. Nice music to listen to while it was being done, but save your cash or get your ears syringed by a medic.
One of my friends was taking a course in alternative medicine/complimentary therapies, and she used me as a guinea pig for Hopi ear candles.
I didn't find the experience particularly pleasant and I've removed more earwax with a cotton wool bud.
