Boob question (for the ladies)
9 Answers
I have never been one much for checking mine, but one of them seems to have a weird texture at the moment. A bit bumpy. Now it could have been like this all along, but I would like a second opinion. My question is, if I go to my GP will he/she have a feel and judge? Or is there a specific nurse you can ask to see? How do you find out if it is normal or anything to be investigated? Has anyone done this?

If it is something she thinks is serious, she will take you straight in to see the doctor.
If she cannot help after having a look, she should advise you to make an appointment to see the doctor.
Either way the nurse should be able to help if you cannot see the doctor straightaway.
But this should be investigated, all changes, puckering everything.
Please do go and make an appointment.

I saw my gp when I found a lump, more like a mass. H e examined me and said it seemed like mastitis but still referred me to the breast clinic. A mammogramand biopsy showed I had a "Fibroadenoma". a harmless mass of gristle. Always get any lumps checked out Scarlett, the majority turn out to be benign cysts etc
Agreeing with the general feel of this thread, Scarlett! Please put your inhibitions to one side-if you have any-and phone up and ask for a nurse-specific appointment.
Any change at all needs checking out, as has been said. It is so worth it for the peace of mind that everything is fine, or if necessary, catching any abnormalities early. x
