I feel hot all year round, even in winter, and its getting me down. Does anyone know anything that will help. I believe that it is made worse if your blood is too thick - is this true and if so, is there any way of thinning without using medication?

isnt Garlic used to make the blood thinner? I'm sure it is - try googling it
Drinking lots of water thins your blood - even if its just a litre a day. I have the opposite problem of being cold all the time!

aspirin thins your blood, too, just take one tablet per day. (obviously provided you're not allergic to it!)

My manager is always hot, due to his high blood pressure. Maybe you could get a BP check at your Doctor's?
Only the very weak aspirins though otherwise you will end up with stomach trouble 0.75 I think
I think the usual dose is 1/4 tablet.....but you should really talk to your doctor, find out the cause of your overheating.
you lucky sod I all ways feel the cold. I wish I could go and live somewhere where the weather never drops below 21c or 70f
Don't wear polyester type clothes. Wear loose cool cottons.
Someone I knew who had this problem turned out to have problems with her thyroid, perhaps you should get this checked?
acupuncture. There is actually a specific acupuncture treatment for having 'too much heat' inside the body. I had an acupuncture treatment for ibs and i felt a surge of heat leave my body, the acupuncturist told me that trapped heat in the body expelled using acupuncture as it targets specific energy points accross the body. I had acupuncture on the NHS so its proven that it works and is completely painless so have no fear. The needles are special thin acuouncture needles and nothing like normal needles and they only go in the very top layer of your skin where u cannot fee anything, maybe only a very small prick and it really works.

Also try reflexology (foot massage which diagnosis and treats illnesses through massaging pressure points on the foot) x
your blood cannot be physically too thick, maybe thicker than some, other wise you cannot be alive. Igenerally happens only in middleaged and old people at risk of dvt and heart atack-try acupuncture or reflexology x
Go to the doc's you may have an over active thyroid.
Can I just say that drinking lots of water does not dilute the blood. The water we drink cannot and does not pass into our veins and arteries. Drinking too much water can however damage your kidneys and this is why some people die after taking ecstasy tablets, others dehydrate or have heart problems....which is not really relevant here.lol.
I wouldn't be taking aspirin on a regular basis either without consulting your GP first. In fact you should consult your GP before taking any drug or starting any therapy as it may be a medical condition that would be worsened by those things.Good luck,I hope you find a solution.xx
a simple way to cool down is to hold ice cubes, or pour very cold running water over your WRISTS...it is simple and it does work ...albeit temporarily.
