I have had a reddish rash around my neck for months. It doesn't itch or anything, its just unsightly and annoying. The doc has given me anti histamines and 4 different creams but its still there. Any suggestionsfor a miracle cure?
Is there any chance it isnt a rash but possibly a fungal infection?
I had red blotches all over my upper arms, chest and neck for months and I called it a rash but it didnt change with heat/cold or itch. Turns out it was a fungal infection and after using a recomendation from the doctor it was gone within a week.
Further to Warpigs response - hydrocortisone Canistan is the best treatment. You can use it on your bits but it is good for excema that is fungal related (in all your little nooks and crannies).
The doctor actually told me to use Nizarol shampoo on my 'infection'. I had to put it on neat, leave it for 5 mins then wash off, worked a treat.
But remember we are not doctors nor can we assume what kind of rash it is, go and see you doctor again and perhaps 'suggest' that it could be something else.
Have you been wearing any necklaces that contain cheap metals ie not gold or silver but costume jewelry type metal, if you wear this kind of necklace and then spray perfume around your neck area you may get an allergic reaction. This happened to me some time ago so I chucked all my cheap stuff in the bin and now I insist on the true gold or silver, this is not a joke i am serious.
