Dry mouth / throat

Has anyone had this condition? My mouth is so dry I am having to drink water all the time, even through the night which means I get very little sleep.When I try to eat, there is no saliva in my mouth to help chew the food and so it's difficult to swallow. Three times now I have vomitted after eating so am only eating liquid food i.e soups etc.Have been tested for diabetes but that was ok and all my G.P has prescribed is a mouth wash which makes no difference at all.Would love to hear from anyone who has had this and what the treatment was for it.
