Mainly because it came with a 100 day money back guarantee when I bought it.
That was about a year ago.
Today I would not want to be without it.
It hurts a lot less than my old one and comes with an ice pack (that I actually never used) that you can use to numb your legs beforehand if you are really sensitive.
I have one, the braun silk epelle or something and I adore it. Wax is messy and horrid and why would I pay someone to cause me that much pain unless I was that way enclined?!
i use the braun silk epille thing too - took a bit of getting used to and cant bring myself to neat at the bikini area so got to beauticians for waxing there. I dont use the ice pack thing but normally do after a shower. Have been using almost a couple of years now and find if I run over my legs quite regularly all is fine and painless. I do have little red spots on my legs the night i do it but clear shortly after it. I definitely think it is worth it but do bear with it.
not sure if you can picture this but if you kinda run your fingers up your leg closely followed by the epilator i really feel you will experience v little pain. Obviously in the beginning the hairs are thicker but get thinner and thinner as time goes on.
years n years ago I bought the Lady Remington - ROFL it was a huge mains operated thing with a build-in brush and a light and magnifying glass
was horrific, truly horrific, especially around the ankles - nice to hear that these new ones are better lol
LOL - I used to have one years ago and it was agony. I used to put it away thinking 'I'm not using that thing again' only to forget a few months later and think 'great I'll use that!' only for the hideous memories to come flooding back. I think I sold it at a car boot sale!! I'm sure they are alot less industrial these days - good luck!
I will, hun. I'm telling myself it can't be any worse than plucking my eyebrows. Wow, for the first time in my life, I'm a glass-half-full girl. How convenient! :)
The pain ain't so bad - and the results are worth it. Much less messy, and more effective, than wax. If you are a bit sensitive then just knock back a couple of ibuprofen half an hour before defuzzing! Oh, and avoid doing it when you have your period - your skin is far more sensitive then.
As for the icepack - it only comes into contact with your skin a millisecond before the hair is removed, so will not have any effect (it would have to be held there for several seconds first to have an effect). So buying one with that would be a waste of money. Here's to hair-free lovely summer legs!
I got one from from argos thats I use for my underarms and I think it's the bestest thing ever - better then waxing and shaving and I dont even use the ice thing that came with it anymore.
I use one I've had for years on my legs and sometimes underarms and find it does the job. However, it can cause ingrowing hairs so it's important to exfoliate before using the machine.
Once your skin gets used to epilation, the pain lessens. Some machines have ice packs attached which ease any discomfort. I should probably get a new one.
I didn't buy that one in the end, SKA. I went for a Braun instead. I had a look around and it was one of the only ones that had 5 out of 5 for everything and Boots were also selling it with 30% off (30!), so I'm pretty chuffed...or I will be until I actually have to use it. :) Hopefully, it'll be a worthy investment. http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp? productid=1092939&classificationid=1050611&slm Refer=000
Thanks you all for your advice, ladies! It's much appreciated. :)
