sorry I realise I spelt 'Grateful' wrong.
Please if someone still does know how to, let me know! :)
My wife say she thinks it is.

Vous me dites juste que mon coeur a le lieu de raison

lovely thing to say, hope she is right.
Question Author
Ahh thank you so much mr and mrs raysparx!
I know some french, and I may put 'Tu' rather than 'Vous' although I'll have to remember the gammar that needs changing. could you ask her if she knows whether 'mon coeur' needs changing to 'ma coeur' if you're female. I was trying to work it out but I just don't remember.
Thank you once again :)
If you're on very friendly terms you'd say: Dis moi que j'ai bon coeur. If not you'd say Dites moi que j'ai bon coeur.

rays translation is a bit word for word which a french person wouldn't say, sorry ray!
Hi Choccie, she has gone shopping now, sorry, but if she gets back early I will askeher, no good me replying, I only know a few spanish words. hope somebody can help you. good luck, Ray
You could always ask ~max~ ChocolateChip :-)
Hi butterflies, glad you came along, my wife was going by what she learnt at school, long long time ago, but as you say, you want it how it would be said, not like a book.
Question Author
Hi butterflies, thanks for that!
Although, they're actually song lyrics, so I could do with it word for word, but I still wanted it to make sense if read by a french person.
I want it as a tattoo across my wrists, as it is mine and my partners' song. Sorry if that spoils the romance for you!
Question Author
ahhh thanks bigmamma. I will put out a thread for him! :)
Her sweetie , ~max~ is female :-)
Question Author
Terrible. I keep on doing that lately! I thought In a Pickle was female. How embarrassing!
I hope IAP is okay.

In that case you could do: Dis moi que mon coeur est au bon endroit. Not something a french would say but would perfectly understand!

Sorry, a french PERSON
Question Author
Thank you for all of your answers! You've been very helpful :)
sorry knobby: it's definitely au bon endroit and not dans le bon endroit. and the imperative doesn't have Vous or Tu in front.
I shall now shut up!

ahh, thats why then.
I don't trust those online translations, they tend to just take it from the dictionary, without thinking about the past/present plural/singular grammar.
You'd get a sharp telling off if you handed that in to your french teacher =P
"Dis-moi seulement que j'ai le coeur a la bonne place"
If your sentence is an "order", as in "tell me (please) only that...."

OR

"Tu me dis seulement que j'ai le coeur a la bonne place" which would be followed by "but" depending on what you meant. "You (keep) tell(ing) me my heart is in the right place, but..."
