Tragedy, Misery, Sickness And Death.

Imagine we all lived in a courtyard, wandering about aimlessly, until the four demons called, to claim their victims.
They would select their prey, inflicting on them what comes to us all, and leaving the rest of us devastated.
Now imagine that we stood in a circle, holding hands.
The demons will still come, and will still claim their victims, but together, holding hands, well, there's comfort to be had in that.
So, in this lfe, it is better to hold hands, than wander around aimlessly.
So hold hands, by being nice to each other wherever you can, and a cuddle if you can manag it.
We can't make the demons go away, but we can refuse to give in to despair.
Or ................. am I wrong?

Holding hands is all very nice - until the ones you trust to hang on let go. I'm happy to give a hug and a caring ear to anyone who needs it, and for as long as they like, but from my own point of view, people have disappointed me too many times, so I'd rather put my trust in me now, thanks very much.
