Hi, can anyone tell me what would bring on a pain in the
calf, on the outside of the leg. If it was sciatica I thought
the pain would run all the way down from the top of the
thigh. It feels like a nerve pain, but it's intermittent.
I play table tennis and it came on after a session.
Occasionally when walking, yet after exercising one time
at tt it seemed to ease the pain, so its very erratic. Has
anyone an answer. Thanks

What sort of shoes have you been wearing, trainers, pumps, high heels?
The sciatica nerve runs all the way from back to ankle but you don't neccessarily get pain all the way along; when I first got it I just had a pain in my ankle then I got it in my butt and sometimes in the calf. Drink lots of fluids (more than you feel like) to see if you can get rid of it. If not, go along to a good osteopath or someone who practices chinese medicine.

it is interesting that you mention the point about wearing

thanks for the answer about sciatica missing the thigh

Please see your gp. Could be a problem with your circulation. Do you smoke?
