Will I have a ginger child?

I am 6mths pregnant and I was just thinking if my baby will have ginger hair.
I'm not ginger but my grandad is, as is my sister and uncle. Both my parents have brown hair. My husband has dark hair and so does his dad but his mum is blond.

But they do some very good baby hair dyes these days, so nobody would have to know.

My niece is ginger, and when we take her out we just stick a bag over her head (paper, of course), and that stops people staring so much.

There are support groups and all sorts as well, and a member of the main one "It's not bad being ginger" will be told about your child soon after birth, should the worst happen, and will come round and give you some information.

Well I have dark brown hair and my hubby is blonde, we have a boy with blondy/ginger hair! It's more blonde though!

You have to have someone with the gene in your family though and it could come from grandparents!

Who said I wouldn't be happy if my child has ginger hair? I just asked a question, just the same as I wonder what he will look like and what colour eyes he will have.
Believe me all I want is my baby to be happy and healthy!!!!

Sounds like the exact same mix of genes that my 1st son had, who is ginger, though very light ginger, but his brother with the same chances is jet black.

Just out of interest, did you know that ginger hair comes from only one area in the world, islands north of Scotland.
Ergo, anyone on the planet that is ginger, has a Scottish ancestor.

I was a redhead as was my father, his brothers and sisters (though not all of them) and my husband had very dark hair and both my children were very dark haired. By the way of my 3 brothers one was black haired the other was very blond and my youngest bro was pale ginger! And now there's a lightning storm just started outside and I'm off!!!!!!
