Supermarket angst!
43 Answers
What winds you up in the supermarket? One of my many iritations is people who stop in front of a shelf with their trolley in front of them then stand their like a zombie 10 feet of shelf, usually where I want to pick something up. Then they look all offended when you have the temerity to shove their trolly down the other end of the isle!

Also when I go to check the eggs there is always one in the box thats broken! Once I must have checked through 5 boxes before I found one with all entact.

My local supermarket is next to a coach park where twice a week dozens of coaches disgorge hundreds of OAP's we call "comforts." (Ah've comfor' t' day).
Half an hour before they are due to go home they mooch aimlessly around the supermarket, blocking the aisles and whingeing about the prices/quality/their bunions/the weather etc.)
Occasionally I long for a machine gun.

I live in the philosophy that, if something annoying can happen, it will. That way I'm never surprised when:
1/ I chose what looks like the fastest queue, but it invariably turn out that something won't scan, or the till will stop working, or the person in front is the biggest moron in the history of the universe.
2/ If I went to the shop specifically for one thing, they will not have it in stock, or they have "just sold the last one".
3/The bags will be so stuck together that I will spend an age and a half trying to open one, whilst being looked at by everyone in the queue, AND the cashier, like the biggest moron in the history of the universe.
4/ Arrive home to find that the oil/shampoo/conditioner has leaked over everything else.
Zen.

people who use those mobilitty scooters, but obviously dont need them. Lazy sods! I used to work in morrisons, and there were one or two people who would diliberatley drive in so they could barge their way through, then park in the same old place, get out, get what they want from the isle, and then drive back pushing through people like their royalty. It winds me up. Mainly because im the stupid fool whos probably paying for them to be so fat and lazy.
What annoys me is the time the fire alarm goes off (just for training purposes ) It always goes off at about 8-30 ish in the morning when people are rushing around to do their shopping before going to work or at lunchtime, again when people haven't got much time and you have to all leave your shopping and stand outside for 15 minutes, this happens all the time at our local Tescos. Grrrrr.
