The hospital radio stuff still makes me smile - anyone remember that tv programme called, "Taking Over The Asylum" with Ken Stott as a hospital radio dj....??
That's a good answer Max. I often wonder whether I would want to relive any part of my life and, if so, would I do any of it differently. The answer to both parts is no. Sadly, I can't think of any part that was extra enjoyable and, even though I'm not proud of some things I've done or not done, being me, I wouldn't do it any differently if given a second chance. ' A leopard can't change it's spots ' comes to mind. I, too, hope the best if yet to come.
1960-1966 when I was a Coach Driver travelling around the country, staying in some lovely hotels, meeting some even lovelier people, lots of sex, going abroad touring, AND GETTING PAID FOR IT, IF YOU PLEASE. Then I met and got very happily married to the most loveliest girl and still am. Now coming up to 42 years.
best days were my college years in my 20's. the main worry was the next party we got by on simple things beans and toast we lived to party and partyed to live. had a small part time job to fund the social acene but no responsibilitys no loans so carefree and so full of fun, we lived to our own schedule going to lectures when it suited and oh the holidays. Now i have a full time job etc and such less holidays. They were the days when you brought home your washing and came back with the contents of your mums fridge
My mid to late 20's. I had my first full time job. Lived at home, but had no rules, went out all the time, had a bit of money (or so I thought at the time) and just was free. I also had a lot of single friends to hang out with along with the old best friends who were married old ladies.
Now it's mortgage, heat bill, worry worry worry, and fewer, but better friendships.

My early to late twenties were the best times - fun job, lots of energy, no real responsibilities, lovely home with my parents who welcomed me and my friends any time, and no health issues. If I could, I would go back and change so many things.
I know that I should be looking forward and enjoying my time now but somehow I feel very discontent at present which is silly. I have a nice home, a happy relationship with a partner who still makes me laugh after 14 years, my three gorgeous lovely dogs and good friends. All I really would like is to be financially secure and have better health and to LOSE WEIGHT!!

Right now is the best time of my life, it seems so on track. I was fostered when I was younger so they weren't very happy days and then I was in an abusive relationship for 5 years and for the last 2 years I've worked on getting my confidence and independence back which I think I now have. I have the best boyfriend in the world and am really happy and can see the future now, it can only get better now!
