Please can you say a prayer for a friend that has sadly passed on? His name was Phil and he was an alcoholic. We're devastated that he died at this young age, 42. His funeral is tomorrow at 1.30. Please say a prayer for him, his mum and his sister.

Phil, we are already missing your smile and sense of humour. You may have gone, but you won't be forgotten.

Much love

Awww, very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend Cmitchell.
That does seem a very young age to pass away.
I'll most definitely say a little prayer for you and your friends family.
As you say,I am sure he will be sorely missed.
Take good care of yourself.
Regards
Imhotep

Thank You sweetheart. This is first chance I've had to get on here to have some me time, but now thankfully nearly all arrangements have been made. We've just gotto put up the prints of photos at the place where the wake is happening. My fianc (Phils Best Mate)is now really ill with sore throat (sounds like a deep Mariella Frostrup) and is fearing he won't be able to go. Have sent him to bed with A Hot Toddy cold remedy. Thanks for reading folks. Will post link to Gonetoosoon website 2moro so you can light a candle.

Thanks for reading folks

Hope it all goes ok today. How sad for you all. Thinking of you x
I also sadly lost a dear friend aged 44 to this dreadful illness earlier on this year my thoughts are with you all x
xxx
I recently have lost a good friend so I know how you feel. His name also was Phil. There is a memorial at our local chapel on Sunday for all who are recently bereaved. I will be going so I will say a prayer on your behalf too. xxx
Hi C, that's really sad. I don't know your friend, but he's another human being, someones son & brother, tragic! I have known people who have gone now, all caused by alchoholism & people who's lives are affected now by drink. Such a sad existence! I have'nt said a prayer in ages, but I will hold them all in my thoughts, take care xxx
So sorry to hear of your loss C. I have lost 3 friends to the wicked poison that is alcohol, and am currently watching another deteriorate. I can't see this widespread problem improving while supermarkets are selling it so cheaply, and drink companies are promoting it to children.
Thinking of you, and your late friend's family.
So sorry to hear about your friend Cmitchell. It must be so hard for you & his family.

We too lost a dear friend two years ago who was also an alcoholic. She tried so hard to get better, but it got the better of her. She was only 62 & left two children & four young grandchildren behind.

Take care. -xx-

A Big Thank You to Everyone on here! Many thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
Friday was incredibly sad. His closest friends were the poll bearers. We chose the music Bedshaped by Keane to play as the coffin came in. Incredibly poignant for someone who was lonely even though he had so many friends.

The music that plays on http://phil-couchman.gonetoosoon.org/memorial/
was also played during the funeral.

Cant believe Im in tears again!

All flower donations are going towards a memorial bench to be placed in one of his favourite parks.

Please feel free to 'light a candle' on the website above. Its free.

Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers. Its much appreciated.

XCX
