I think it is generally good to have experienced the former before the latter.
I used to be a necrophiliac but it was dead boring
Onl;y one is inevitable.
i`ve experienced both, but am still here to tell the tale.

love is much better then death,
if you are still here then you have not experienced death..?
see i depends really the feeling of love is much better than death yes, but if you were to lose someone that you love not through death but just not be able to be with them I;d rather they were dead in some circumstances.
4getmenot.

if you want something or someone so badly then persevere, do what ever you can to bring that person back to you.
What are my ideas on love & death.
My wife & I were deeply in love for 58 years she died in March of this year, I miss her so much, so you see I know something about both.Ron.
Ron, it's hard to believe but you will start to feel better, or rather, different and stronger. I lost my husband seven years and I have always made the effort to mention his name to someone - just in normal, casual conversation - every day. That way he isn't really complete dead. Let her live on in your heart, your head and your voice and you will learn to live with her in that new way. Sorry, this isn't the right thread for this but just wanted to tell you. x
Thanks Tups,I'm already living like that but it does help to meet someone of the same mind,I also ask her to join me every night in dreams & we do meet quite often.Ron.
That's good Ron. I spent several months writing a letter each night whilst I was in bed. Sometimes the letters were chatty, talking about the day, some were complaining and angry, having a go at him for leaving me to deal with the finances and the teenaged children! Others said all the affectionate things I should have said whilst he was alive.
I shall never read the letters. They are locked in a wooden box, which, maybe, I'll burn one day. Or perhaps I'll just bury them. But it's comforting knowing they are there. I rate them as my most prized possession.
I too have just lost the love of my life,12 weeks ago after a glorious 34 years, and it goes without saying which I prefer.
However I have realised that the more you love someone the easier it is to let them go when they are in pain.
Hope you find an answer

Tis good to love and be loved.....death of a lover is disastrous....like the loss of a limb.
Thanks all, needless to say you've started me off again(in floods) we'll get there.Ron.
zxyvixy not always that easy and believe me I persevered for 10yrs :-) he never really wanted me and I deserved better, its just that sometimes I think it would have been better he died than have to go through the heartache of having to get over him. :-) looking back on it though I know I did the right thing and have a man who loves me so much and I;m really happy. :-)
Interesting to note the original poster has not responded. Hope everyone had a pleasant night with all the memories being brought to the fore once again.
Love to all

It really depends where you think your going to when you die after you have loved?
Back to the arms of your loved one hopefully.
