May i wish everyone a very happy new year I know its not been great for some of us but we need to strive for the future generations and I know we will survive as we must.
Off to raise a toast and watch the fireworks around the neighbourhood for the first time alone in 34 years thru misty eyes no doubt.

Mamya, Ive been married 33 years so I understand, or can imagine what it is like but you are doing ok. You are still breathing and being. Thats quite an achievement. But things do get better, believe me.

Yes, the end of a mariage can also be similar to bereavement sally. Christmas time always seems to bring out the good and the worst things. My friend's mum died suddenly on Christmas Day. She was only in her early 50's. I feel for anyone who's suffered a loss, but this time of the year makes it seem even worse. Hope this year brings you more happiness.

However you find yourself on your own is a real shock to the system. Whether they leave you, or you leave them, or someone dies, it is hard. I still have some bad days, but it gets more tolerable as time goes on. I wish you all strength and future happiness.
