Lump in the nipple

I have a hard lump in my nipple and it is red and very sore any ideas what it could be?

it could be a red spot that getting harder. I has had 1 or two on me testi*** , and it were red as well, it usually turns out to be a spot which has hardened. But to be on safe side go to ur gp.

You should go to your GP.  It is probably something quite simple, as pompey says, but we are not qualified on here to deal with this, so see the doc asap and get it treated.  Any lumps or bumps like this, unless it is obvious what they are (ie. spot or gnat bite) should be seen, especially on your breast.

Could be mastitis -- especially if you are nursing a baby --this is a simple infection easily cleared up with antibiotics. But don't delay going to the doctor.

Don't ask amateurs to diagnose something as serious as this.

Hi Wendy,

I really hate to alarm you but my mum had a tiny pea-sized hard lump on her nipple and it turned out to be cancer, although thankfully she has had it removed. Please, please, please get it checked out ASAP.
