Ok, so i need to fill some time on a saturday that would usually have been spent with the ex girlfriend but am stuck for ideas ! I figured one out which is a relatively cheap option (renting a mounting bike for the day in various outdoor designed trails, costs about 15), but i need another 3 activities to fill the month up. These should ideally be all day ideas that can keep me active whilst being easy on the wallet... thanks for any help

What I am saying is,you really mean "Mountain" Bike don't you?
my mate-willy john- keeps mountain dogs
How about joining an orienteering group, a fell-walking group, or join conservation volunteers. All these seem to operate on Saturdays. Sorry you lost your girlfriend. Good luck.
Hmmm I agree with mifta been so long since I had the luxuary of free time I can't remember what it is like! ;o)

How about;
Going to the cinema, joining a local ramblers group, taking up a new hobby like photography, DIY, painting.
Join a gym. If you have a games console get some good highly reccomended games, some treats and the number of a take away so you can just indulge yourself one of the weekends.
Spend the weekend on AB, usually a few peeps about.
Get a good book or hire a few DVDs from your local library and do as suggested above with the games console.
You could look up local walks around you and plan your route with refreshment breaks,

Umm thats about all I can think of for now, must be something in that list that you could do one of the weekends :o)
Enjoy the peace and quiet and the fact that you can either do something or just stay in bed if you so decide!
You could volunteer for a local charity?
