At med school we had an extrovert teacher who was my hero. On a ward round with 15students, he showed how to ntest for sugar in the urine by dipping his finger in the urine and tasting it.
He asked all the students to do the same and after we reluctantly complied he said..."If you had watche me carefully, I dipped my middle finger in the urine and put my ring finger in my mouth.
