i lost the tip of my finger, down to the first knuckle two years ago due to a mechanical accident, it has remained numb since then, but recently it has started throbbing and feels as though its under "pressure" if I squeeze my finger it tends to relieve it a little. The finger is not hot or inflamed, i have been to see a neurologist and had an MRI scan and even he cant find a cause,.Limes disease was mentioned but now that's been ruled out, its not carpal tunnel cause I've already had that operation in both hands. My thumb and middle finger are also completely numb. any ideas at all?

Cervical spine?
Which finger was involved in the accident?
Question Author
yes spine and brain!
Question Author
its the index finger on the left hand.
Thumb, ring finger and middle finger certainly sounds like CTS, but if you have had the operation, it either hasn't worked, or it is not CTS and if it isn't and you have seen a neurologist, then I cannot offer any likely diagnosis........sorry.
