ok thanks poodi :-)
Had it 20 years ago to help give up smoking, didnt work for me.
Question Author
Ok thanks
This might not help but..... My daughter is just finishing midwifery training and has done a hypno-birth course (She paid for it and in her own time ) She helped her friend thro a very long labour and her friend had no pain relief at all; in fact the duty midwife had to ask when the contractions were happening as the mum was so in control. I would say it works!!
A mate of mine had it and it stopped him from smoking but now every time someone claps, he starts clucking like a chicken!

ooo interesting naomi - I haven't heard of hypno-birth before. Sounds good!

lol squarebear - I'm already as clucky as a chicken so don't suppose that will make much difference
Yes, it worked for both of my sons, they've completely forgotten who I am......;o)

(it was for smoking & they've both stopped)

Ok so so far I have been looking into it and have rung 2 places. One charges 50 and they say you need about 6 sessions.

the other charges 100 for one hr session

and 160 for 2 hr session

and the chap reckons more often than not 1 hr will solve your problems
What do you want the therapy for, Angel?
angel....just a little anecdote. As a med student doing midwifery (I hated it) a pregnant woman was seen in O.P's with Hyperemesis gravidarum ( pregnancy sickness) all tablets had failed including the usual "myths".One of the registrars had "dabbled" in hypnotherapy and we all crowded into this side room and he started his "chanting".
After an extremely boring 10 mins, he clapped his hands and the woman sat up, smiled and "pucked" all down our white coats.

Work sent me for it about 7 years ago to control my temper and calm me down. It worked to a degree. But it was no 'cure' so to speak. I am calmer but im not 'fixed' - I would try it again though.
Mine lasted for 8 sessions - not sure what you want hynosis for but and hour doesnt seem very long - and expensive!
Yes. No.

You mean it will solve his problems....as in there's one born every minute....
I had it and it did not work. I think it is one of those things if you believe it will then it will.
