Mood lifters
What to you do to raise your spirits?
Between the gloomy weather and various life circumstances, I've been depressed lately and could use a quick list from all of you creative people about what to do to make yourself feel better.

Yesterday I was completely weepy, and got advice from lovely Kags to exercise - absolutely brilliant! I felt great last night.
zgma I think its the time of year I sometimes get like this.
Why not have a pampering session have a lovely soak in the bath and apply some face masks etc, do your nails, do your hair into a different style do eyebrows etc
or you could invite all your pals round get a few bottles of wine and have a good girlie gossip and laugh or watch some good films (comedys) as laughter is the best medicine failing all that put some good music on your stereo ,turn up the volume and dance around your living room.
as others have said, think about how lucky you are and better off than some people, and this may change how you feel if you are really depressed though I would go to a doctor and talk to him, and zgma always look on the bright side of life, hope you feel better soon xx
Like Kags I find listening to very loud music helps and dancing to it helps even more. With me, it would be Queen. Radiohead fanatic as I am, their music doesn't exactly cheer me up. Exercise is brilliant but when you are really down it's hard to get going - but great if you can manage it. I have taken up art again, and it has certainly helped.
Sharing thoughts with AB regulars is also a good idea!
Keep your spirits up. Luv FPxx
Sorry you're down - been feeling a bit like that myself & it hasn't been helped at all by recent events (see my post in People titled Lock Up! ).
I'm with all the others on the music thing & exercise - just clearing up the leaves in my garden often helps.
As Fp says the thing that helps most is to tell someone about it & know that some of us are more than likely feeling the same. People on the AB are thankfully not the 'pull yourself together & stop whining' brigade.
All the best x
My only advice is:
1. Go shoe shopping, i love shoes, they always cheer me up! (or bags!)
2. Meet mates for lunch
3. Listen to the link NoGood Boyo posted!
ha ha the laughing policeman is great, i've been having a chuckle at that one, brings back happy memories as a kid!! Thanks NoGood Boyo!
4. Read the post on jokes that was posted earlier this week, had me in fits for ages!! There are some nice people on this site that are always here when you need cheering up!
