I think I've just about had enough of this poxy hayfever....

I have had it for 3 months now. Tablets, eye drops, contact lenses, nose spray.

Am I right in thinking I should just cave in and speak to the doc about it? (never needed to before you see)

Any help/suggestions appreciated before I waste GP time.

Ahh is nothing working for you?

It can be bloody annoying can't it and tiring if you are sneezing a lot but the worst bit is sore itchy eyes.

Yeah I would go to docs about it if you have tried all those things. They may be able to find something that works with a bit of luck!

Honestly I've never known it like this! And it's never lasted this long! Drives me nuts LOL

Yeah the eyes thing is a bit of a killer I must admit! That's a new one on me!!
I don't know if it works or if you've tried it but what about putting cucmber slices on your eyes or a gel pack you can freeze?
Well I've had a cough for about 3 months and went to the doctor and he thinks its hayfever related but I never used to get a cough with my hayfever. Perhaps its a particularly bad year for it!

Thanks CAJ, I have played that card (slept with a cold mask on one night!), which is lovely and works for a bit. Unfortunately it doesn't last long enough to get through the day! Thanks though x

damn I'm banned. Posted twice
Ahh ******! I'm all out of ideas then other than visiting the chemists to see what they reccommend. I reckon the doctor will just give you antihistamines :o( xx
That was b*gger!
Are you sure it`s hayfever? Sounds more like an allergy to some thing your using. Could be perfume in air freshener or polish. Three months seems an awful long time to be suffering from a pollen allergy. But if your convinced it`s hayfever then try vaseline round end of nostrils ( it stops the pollen getting up) and before you actually get the hayfever build yourself an immunity to it by having a spoonful of honey every day. Hope this helps. My son gets citalopram from the doctors which really help his allergy.
rinkins...how about Phenergan 25mgms last thing at night?
isnt there a jab you can have for that? im sure on GMTV once Dr hilary said that if you ask your doctor he can give you one that covers you for a few months. My sister in law is going to ask hers about it because her hayfevver is awful and its making her chest bad.
move to tenerife

theres no hayfever here

dth ?

Thanks Glaik, like I said it started when it normally does (tree pollen I assume) but I'm normally shot of it by now!

Thanks for being helpful guys x

Sqad! I hoped you'd help. Where do I get this stuff? I've tried loratadine (over the counter) which has worked in the past
For the hayfever - have you tried local honey (it has to be local to you - not from anywhere else other than your local vicinity).

As for the pox - can't really help there rinkins, other than to say Penicillin.
