HELP! i have the same prob as u High Hopes! i'm 13 and really want my belly button pierced but my mom needs a really good reason on why she houldn't say no. My dad has already said yes, but i need a way to convince my mom to approve! Help me as soon as possible please!

As a mother of a 14 year old who wants her belly pierced I'm afraid I agree with your mum. I'm no fuddy duddy as I myself had mine pierced 11 years ago, but at your age you're still growing and changing and after reading you do 200 sit ups a day (which is over training your abs and will be of no real benefit) it's not realistic to have it done while still at school where it could be knocked and could cause infection. My agreement with my daughter is on her 16th birthday I'll pay for her to have it done, maybe you could do the same with your mum.

I will repeat what I have said about someone else's posting about toungue piercing.

1. The most experienced professional in the best clinic can make mistakes - is it worth the risk of a gross infection and permanent ugly scar?

2. Remembrance day has just commemorated the sacrifice made by millions so that we can be free. Some of those people were tortured in prison camps by having their bodies pierced. So some people died in agony having their bodies pierced just so that you can choose to have it done just for fun. What would they think?

hey im 15 and i got my done last year on my 14th bday my parents r pretty cool so this year for my bday im getting my nose done the only thing they ask is to "behave" and take care of it....so try to compromise y dont u start out with your upper ear. (the cartilage)
