Can anyone tell me how many does someone have to take before their is irreversable damage done?

However, 4g a day is the max normal daily dose, so it more than that is taken liver damage wil be the result. The excess number of tablets taken and the greater the length of time taken before medical help is sought, then the greater the risk of liver damage. For example, 40 tablets taken, and 1 week before help is obtained will result in damage that may not be recoverable. The person may not even feel unwell until then either. The best thing is to get help sooner rather than later, and later rather than not at all.
A lot will also depend on how old the person is too - child, adolescent, adult.
