Vulval Pain Clinic
6 Answers
Does anyone know if you can refer yourself to one of these clinics, and are they part of GU clinics. I have a problem which I don't think my doctor understands. He just sends me for tests, which come back ok, by still leave me with the problem. Time to take matters into my own hands if I can.

These "tests" that you describe, I would presume to be to exclude STD or inflammatory pelvic disease......i.e Gynaeclogical examination.
If all the tests were normal, then we are looking at a stress related problem, which he could deal with.
I didn't know "Vulval Pain Clinics " existed.

I insisted that my gp refer me to Gyne as we were not getting anywhere with my symptoms.
He just said "lets try this, And this or maybe this" Got so fed up with it he did refer me and then in turn the Gyne referred me to the Vulva clinic. Bingo! they knew instantly what it was.
My advice, get referred, now!
