I have a female friend who is worried that she has a moustache (if that is spelt right) which makes her feel quite self concience at times and when we go out she is always asking if i can see it. They are just little blackish hairs but can be noticable when you get close. i was wondering if anyone knew any good pain free ways of removing unwanted hair on the top lip?

Hair removing cream (eg Veet) is painfree, but always brings me out in spots.  I now just bleach mine with Jolen cream bleach, which can be bought at Boots and most pharmacies.  It's a bit fiddly, but works well if the hair isn't too thick.

Pain is the only way to go because bleaching is pointless as it hides it from a distance but up close it can still be seen and hair removal cream such as Veet can (as nicola_red said)bring you out in a rash also once it's been done once stubble will grow back and frankly that's more unsightly than the hair in the first place. For me the only option is waxing, it is painful for all of a second or two and will leave the upper lip the tiniest bit red but only for a couple of hours, and at least it won't grow back stubbly! trust me waxing is the way to go. Oh and the first time you try it go to a salon to be waxed as they won't mess it up.

One of my sisters & a friend always waxes their upper lip. They both said it hurts for a few seconds, but lasts much longer that anything else they've tried.
Waxing in a beauty salon is definintely the way forward.  Tell her to take two painkillers about 20 minutes before her appointment, that will take the edge off the pain.

Me and some of my friends have tried veet and it burns!  i wrote to complain but no reply. I would suggest electrolysis or waxing, not pain free, but great results and long lasting
