I have heard lazer eye treatment is very effective and can be very benefiting to a person.
Good luck and i hope it goes well for you :).
Not meant to concern you unduly, but, statistically, all different forms of lazer procedures, especially Lasik have about a 92% success rate at least here in the U.S. Problem is, the remaining 8 to perhaps 10% have major difficulties that cannot be corrected. I considered the process, but have had such good relations with my contact lenses I decided against it. I have several friends, however that did opt for the procedure. All experienced varying degrees of success but all had a common complaint, that being dry eyes. Two of them use eye drops several times a day to relieve the condition.
Additionally, the procedure does not correct age related near vision problems. After about age 45 one still has to use reading glasses. Several friends report halos and blurring of night vision.
All I'm saying is to consider all aspects of the procedure. I'm sure your Doctor has covered all this but any problems with the procedure often cannot be corrected and you're essentially stuck with it the rest of your life.
One other fact. Lasik and associated procdures are still elatively new. The Doctors should tell you they aren't sure what will occur as the patient ages since there aren't very many patients that have experienced the outcome for, say 25 years.
The clincher for me was that my Optometrist elects to wear glasses rather than have Lasik... hmmm?
