Sleeping in bursts

It's a while since i've had an "all-night" sleep ( usually one trip to the loo! ). However in the last few weeks i have started to sleep in blocks of 2-3 hours if that. When I come to i do not feel rested and finally get out of bed feeling like i've had no sleep at all.

I'm wondering if this is just a phase ( possibly through stress ) that will correct itself?. I certainly hope so cos i feel quite lacklustre.

Are you male or female? What age group are you in? That would help us out.

I'm a 50 year old male.
I've had the same thing for the last few weeks and I'm a female in my 20s. I put it down to the changing seasons and my body clock adjusting to the different length day and reduced daylight hours.
you're of an age to be having a little prostate trouble. But stress can play a part too. So can being too hot or cold... this isn't terribly helpful, I know, but a lot of things can affect sleeping patterns.
Yes, sounds very much stress related and your body won't let itself 'turn off'. Try having a warm bath then a warm milky drink before stepping into bed; reading something pleasant can help too.
I've been waking up every 2/3 hours too lately. Apart from needing the loo, I have lots on my mind at the moment, so can only assume it's due to being unsettled!

Hope things improve soon airbolt.
