Can eyes change colour?
6 Answers
Can your eyes change colour? and is there any connection to a serious illness had several years ago. When I was young I had greeny/hazel eyes, but now in later life my eyes now seem to be bluey/grey!
I've also had some surgery on my eyes, as I have diabetic retinopathy and wondered if that might be relevant too.

I've got a cataract in one eye at present which is developing very slowly and have has one removed from my other eye a few years ago.(I'm apparently quite young to get cataracts - I was 45 - but mine have been exacerbated by diabetes.) They do not make your eyes go milky - my eye didn't look any different from usual. I've no white rings around the iris and my cholestrol is very good, according to my last blood test. I think that the link posted by jno is a good explanation, although I wasn't worried about it, just interested. Thank you all for your answers.
