Feelings

In answer to the 'What are thoughts' question, In A Pickle wrote that "thoughts are only really electrical impulses travelling along pathways".

 

If this is the case, what are feelings? Specifically, feelings such as love not physical feelings.  Surely they aren't the same thing as thoughts?

Love is just a glorified physical reaction like when you digest food.
Often it the release of a hormone: ie that sick feeling of worry can be atributed to the release of noradrenaline (which is the fight/flight response).
The weird thing is that thoughts create feelings, in that if you start to obsess about someone your feelings for them increase, but if you really concentrate hard on forgetting about someone, usually the feelings fade.  I think Buddhists think that thoughts and feelings are the same thing.
