Hello I keep on hearing about this from time to time. That meat eaters have usually old meat lodged in their colon for years. Now Im a carnivore bigtime and I just cant believe that food can be there that long without causing a major health complaint as infections and/or blockages occur. Surely our colons are not this fragile? We were born to be carnivores just look at our teeth! Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

Anything in your gut will get digested in time.

If you have any meat there, it's not the same meat that was there last month.

If you're worried, treat yourself to a colonic !!
This was mentioned in The Times today, some celebrity (possibly Heather Mills) was quoted as saying that meat sits in your colon and gives you the disease you die from. A scientist said that meat was preocessed in the same way as any other food.

Red meat is the hardest to digest. We eat too much meat now...many on a daily basis. A few veggie days are recommended...
Heather Mills ...

Well informed, dietary scientist ...

... or self-interested, gold digging loony ?

You decide !
What does Heather Mills know? Did she perform experiments on this? Purleeese
(just voicing my thoughts, not having a go at you Jigsaw)
A few veggie days are recommended...

Especially by sellers of vegetarian food products.
Did you read any of the others on the link, half those celebrities must be completely barmy!
Sophie is right ...

What a bunch of freaks !!!

Wow ... weird.
I find a lot of vegetarians like to state this as 'fact'. From what I can gather red meat is harder to digest and so should only be eaten twice a week, but should be digested within 3 days as with all other foods. As ummmm said we just eat too much meat these days and don't give our digestive system a lot of time to keep up!
" Fizzy drinks sap the oxygen from you body "

People who believe that sort of poop should not be allowed to use sharp objects.
Foods that are not digested gets excreted. As long as one have regularly normal bowel movements in-digestible foods / meats goes through the gut and into the loo.
The only "too much" is that ...

Vegetarians eat too much vegetable stuff.

We are talking ... flatulence !!

It can't be good to create so much noxious gas inside your body.

We are not cows, you know !
Is it lunch time already?
I think because veg keeps you regular.
Oh no... what would happen to the ozone system, the environment and 'the green people' ?
''Vegetarians eat too much vegetable stuff.''

You reckon?
I usually have meat 4 times a week and fish or seafood 3 times a week..........I hate vegetables....especially Heather Mills....
We were designed to eat both meat and veg but these days eat far too much meat. I agree with both ummm and chelle. As for meat being stuck in the colon for years, well.............. !!!!!
