my dad has this if you have ever watched the film the madness of king george he had it
whilst my dad is ok hes 62
i wondered as he got older what the side effects would be
its always been a taboo subject to talk about

i have sqad but all the info is very confusing with my mum and dad not coming forward with any info !!!!! all i can tell you is i know he cant take anything with paracetamal in it he has dredful mood swings angry one min life and soul the next and has had countless urine tests over the years

zzxxee....Ah! that last piece of information regarding his skin hypersensitivity is very important and if you could add also that he doesn't suffer from abdominal pain then it is likely that your father is suffering from Porphyria Cutanea Tarda.

If my assumption is correct then he will not suffer from the neurological and mental problems associated with Acute Porphyria.

that's the one believed to have spawned myths about vampires, isn't it? Avoiding the sun and getting lots of iron. It probably doesn't feel so romantic when it's int he family, though.

zzxxee try tapping f8 on start up to boot up in safe mode and in safe mode you should be able to run virus and spyware checks.
