Ear thing
2 Answers
A couple of months ago i started to get a very irritating tickly feeling in my inner ear. It was really bad and driving me crazy. It only helps slightly to rub my ear outside, near my cheek. I went to see the doctor who said i had an infection in the early stages. She gave me some drops for a week. The drops were very cold and lovely but after i finished them the feeling came back. A couple more weeks later i went back to see the same doctor. I asked her if it could be to do with my job, working with dogs and the barking all day long. She said not at all+seemed quite put out that i'd came back to see her about it again. She said this time that i have mild eczema which is irritated by shampoo getting in my ears. She told me to rinse them after shampooing my hair. During the week i was off work over christmas i was never bothered with my ear but as soon as i went back it started again!! Is there a possibility it could be to do with the barking? Or something else? Im not convinced by what my doctor said as she was quite rude and couldnt really be bothered!!!

In the meantime, why not get some ear plugs (from Boots) and use them at work for a few days. If it helps, you will know it is linked with the barking. If it doesn't, go back to the Doctor.
Def go and see a different Doctor, she sounds rude. It does sound more like an infection as opposed to a noise related problem. It could just be that you needed to take a longer course of antibiotics or stronger ones. Try to get referred to ENT if it persists. Good luck Snappy, hope it goes away, i know how uncomfortable the itching is! Wanting to itch the inside but can't because the itch feels like it is in the back of the throat but also in the ear!!
