Had my first last week. Its strange because they squash your bosom flat between two pieces of plastic one way and then the other. But it wasn't painful just awkward!
1st one didnt bother me really , had my 2nd one last week , uncomfortable this time , i think it depends on the lady doing it as to wether shes " gentle or rough " xx youl be fine
It can also depend on your build, I am scrawny , but fairly large breasts so there was some pulling, as already said, awkward rather than sore.

Thanks very much for replies. xxx
Had one years ago but don't remember it hurting, just being uncomfortable. You've reminded me though I have to ring them and re-arrange mine as I cancelled my last appointment. What us women have to go through!
I did exactly the same Jan when Bill was poorly, so mine is overdue too.
It find it very uncomfortable but it's over quite quickly, if you have a kindly nurse it makes a lot of difference! I have a large rib cage and not much boob, so there is a bit of maneouvering. Not to be worried about though, you are doing the sensible thing and having it done.
once was enuf; they got on my tit !

My sis had one recently and she said it hurt like hell. [:o(

I know it has to be done so I'll just put up and shut up.

Jan, how is hubby?
Yes I find it quite painful but I'm a whimp! It's over and done with so quickly and when you get the all clear it's well worth it.
Sorry butting MrsC jans hubby has been a bit below par this week and following his blood tests, they have postponed yesterdays chemo session till next week. Its a pain but better safe than sorry.
It's ok mamya. I didn't see mrs c's reply and am very touched that people do remember and ask after hubby. He is feeling a bit better now, just a bit of a cough. He has a blood test weds and hopefully, if the blood count is ok, will have chemo on thursday.
