what is the best treatment for this? my mother in law just had an xray after a huge lump developed on the top of her foot.she was told it was an arthritic joint. is walking good or a hinderance? she doesnt move far at the best of times.

If it is not causing any symptoms...pain ect, then leave well alone.
If it causes pain, then it will need the attention of an Orthopaedic surgeon.
Arthritis is a disease caused by worn cartiliges on the bones. The more they are worked the more they wear.

Some say glucosamine and chondritin but I found the best thing for cartilage repair is eating geletine. Just try to avoid the sugar that often comes with it. I quite like the snakes.
