Make the Burka illegal in the UK.and then they have the choice, if you want to stay in the UK, then don't wear your Burka, BUT if you do want to wear your Burka, then go to a country which hasn't banned it.................trouble is, that country will certainly not have a "Welfare State"

I'm with ummm it seems to represent oppression to me, but if their choice so be it. I think its a shame to have a bonny face covered up.However I think it inappropriate in certain situations.

Laws about clothing, I don't think we've got any of those, we should definitely have some.

I have nothing against the Burka, what I do have something against however is the amount of young women who have taken to wear them that wouldn't have dreamed have doing so not so long ago. I see that as an aggressive and threatening stance on their part, nothing to do with their menfolk at all!

I know this might sound silly, but I find them quite imposing and scary, just seeing the eyes and nothing else, I don't know really what it is that freaks me out so much about them but I they just do freak me out...sorry if I have offended anyone but in this pic, you can't even see the eyes!!!

i dont like walking down the street looking at someone wearing a burka! I think they should be banned personally. we do not know who is under them! good disguise tho

When my mam went to Egypt, she said the women have special swimsuits that cover their entire body and are extremely light weight....
