It did look a huge hassle to do. I watched my son do it, he is SO fast on the computer, I didn't see what he did, but it looked like a lot of trouble, so I'm glad I didn't have to. Rachael, ask someone kind to do it for you.

Rachael, it doesn't work immediately. I thought it hadn't worked, but when I came back to the computer about an hour later, it was there ok.

rachael, have you done all the stages? It's very easy to miss a bit
Upload your pic to gravatar against the same email address you use here
gravatar send you an email, you have to click on the link in the email to activate on gravatar
come back here and click on Your Profile
Check the box which says Your Profile is active, then go right down the bottom of the page and click submit
Come back to the threads
If you don't see your new avatar on any of your posts, keep doing control/F5 - it can take quite a while though, an hour is not usual if the system is busy

^^ and I missed a bit - after you click on Your Profile, you then click Edit User Details where you will see the screen for Activate & Submit. Sorry!
