I've lost half stone now in past 2 weeks through healthy eating and walking. If you just went on diet and didnt exercise how does your body decide where the fat comes of from or is it just all over?

Good for you, 4get. You and rowan put me to shame.

I'd be interested in the diet thread thingy too, rowan. It really is time to get a grip of myself - and at the moment I can grip handfuls! : (
Mr LL had to cut out fats and exercise for health reason, so I joined him on his healthy eating plan, but not on his fast walking regime which would kill me with my arthritis. He lost 2.5 stones in about 6 months and I went down by 1.5 stones. Our weights have now levelled. We didn't diet as such, just cut out the obvious fatty foods, decreased portion size and ate lots of fish, chicken and veg.
It wasn't a 'plan' as such, just sensible eating. And we still have meals out and aren't picky what we eat when we do, or when we eat with other people. Diets are a total waste of time, unless of course they are diets for specific health needs, such as diabeties, etc.

If you put weight on it will go on your bum.

If you lose weight it will come off your boobs.

Life's not fair.
I'm with Mazie! I cut out biscuits, chocolate, ice cream and all the tacky stuff and i've tried everything going but I'm losing nothing so it's so disheartening! When I was younger and found I'd gained a bit, I just stopped eating for a few days and lost it sharpish but now I'm fatter than I've been in my whole life and nothing seems to work. I know I've not got the willpower I used to have but I've really tried this time. The only good thing about having the weight is that I've now got a bust which I never had before, but I'd be willing to forego it for my clothes to fit comfortably! A slimming thread would be great.
