Ive got my scan tomorrow, and the letter tells me to drink a litre in the hour before the appointment. My problem is... I cant keep that much fluid without running to the toilet!
Any tips?

Drink it as close to the actual scan time as possible. If you feel you have to go to the toilet then just go. They may still be able to do the scan even if you empty your bladder fully.
I would do the same drink as close to the apt time as possible even if your sat in the waiting room drinking it still.. That's what i had to do when i was pregnant with my little one.. Good luck x

Years ago I had to have an ultrasound. I drank what I thought was a litre of fluid before leaving home. I was sat in the waiting area minding my own business when the nurse came along, looked at me and said 'you obviously haven't had enough to drink' and brought me a jug of water. I was certainly squirming by the time I'd had that and there were still a couple of women to go in ahead of me. I never thought I'd last out but it was odd as soon as I was on the couch and they put the cold stuff on my stomach, it took my breath away and the need to go. As soon as it was done though, I dived in the loo and never thought I'd finish weeing.
