Kelp tablets Sqad are you there ??

I have been using Perfectil for Hair Skin and Nails for three months now, my nails are a bit better but not my skin or hair. I have now bought some Kelp. Would this be better? Especially for thinning hair. Also my thyroid is slightly underactive but borderline. Not enough for tablets. Would kelp help this ?

Kelp tablets have many properties but I personally don`t think they can do anything for thinning hair. They might improve the condition of the hair but they`re not going to magically stimulate the follicles to produce more hair. Thinning hair could be caused by low thyroid or (around menopause) by the effect of testosterone producing DHT which causes the follicles to go into a resting phase. Minoxidil (Regain or Rogain) has been proved to work in about 20% of women but it`s not cheap.
My answer is going to go down like a lead balloon after reading these posts above.
Spiralina is a dietary supplement and there are no properly conducted therapeutic scientific trials that would convince me that it has any advantage whatsoever on human health, that isn´t available in a normal healthy diet.
There are many publications, many claims made, but all by "researchers" who have a vested financial interest and I have seen no reputable journals that have published any research e.g British Journal of Medicine, Lancet or the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine.
If you can afford them and think that they help......then "what harm can it do?"...??

Kelp is not good if you want to keep friends and spirulina is the same not so much fart as chemical warfare never smelt anything so vile.... If you are having trouble sleeping and Sqad I know there are no trials only a very long history within herbal medicine,,, and lack of sleep can affect your skin so almost certainly your hair as well try a combination of Passiflora, Verveine lettuce extract and hops either in a tea at bedtime or in the compound tablets you can get from any healthfood shop. there can sometimes be a hangover effect the next day until you get used tio it so be careful .and also try scalp massage a couple of times a day for a few months combined with lying on the sofa with your head hanging down to improve circulation to your scalp.for about 5 mins each day if iy doesn't make you feel queasy
it has been suggested that kelp might help a borderline thyroid as it is supposed to be rich in iodine but again as Sqad said no properly constructed research trials..cant hurt might help... ..
