Well depends on what is causing it really, is it a chest infection ? Honey can be soothing but if the wheezing is coming from the lungs may need checking out..
Maybe you could try boiling the kettle, and pouring the water into a bowl and breathing in some steam! Put a towel over your head! M
Ignore the uniform , but I think you knew that LOL
Some good information on here http://www.ehow.com/w..._relief-wheezing.html

I don't know where it's coming from. It started as a dry tickly cough that really really hurt my throat and chest. Now it's a bit chesty. The whezzing's in the back of throat. It's annoying because it's keeping me awake...and disturbing Oh.

ps. How do you spell whezzing???
wheezing

Honk Tonk....thanks. That first little exercise made it better. I just want something to help me fall asleep...or back to sleep if I wake up coughing.

I have honey Mamy...how do I take it? Can I make a honey drink to take to bed with me?
Question Author
Cheers Honk...seen it in your link :-)
Not enough information. mamyalynne is right wheezing is a symptom not a disease.

Do you wheeze on breathing in or on breathing out?
Have you got a cough?
Are you short of breath?

Can´t help until those questions are answered.

Morning Sqad :-)

Do you wheeze on breathing in or on breathing out? Out

Have you got a cough? Yes

Are you short of breath? Not doing much..NO. Occasionally when I'm busy but I think that's because I'm knackered. I haven't had much sleep in the last week.
Paracetamol helps, ibuprofen makes it worse.

What...with the wheezing? I'm not taking anything at the mo. I might need to soon...my muscles are getting sore.
ive just had same recently. Wheezing is all the phlem in throat. Cough it all out before bed is what i do. If it is still there next wk then likely chest infection.
Question Author
How do cough it out before bed? It's back within minutes.
Ummmm, try googling "Effective coughing technique". This should give you some links on the technique that respiratory therapists teach in hospitals. They do work as I have to do it to daily due to my lung disease. Try sleeping propped up with more pillows as well, lying down flat will make you cough more as the phlegm pools in your throat.

Just done that. I will try the technique after my cigarette....lol
Hot Toddy is great: whiskey, lemon, hot water, always helps, probably best to go see your Doc if you have had it while and he can give you some antibiotics if necessary.
Without listening to your chest its unlikely anybody on here can give an accurate diagnosis.

Hope it clears up soon xx

I don't think it's anything bad RATTER. There's not huge amount of mucus and it's clear. No other symptoms.

What's not helping...bloody police helicopter flying overhead for about an hour at 3 am Wednesday night. Last night a bloody car alarm was going off, on and off for a couple of hours. Everything is much worse when you're tired.
cant be clear if still wheezing. I've coughed up a lung this morning
Question Author
The mucus is clear. I've had chest infections, not for years though, but the mucus has been coloured.

It's the coughing fits...makes you feel like your head will explode.
