This earache is sooooo annoying . . . . . .

It's been going on in both ears for a couple of weeks, sinc eI went sailing and felll in the broads. Both ears are bad all of the time but something it jsut feels weird and other times like now, my right ear is really bad.

I went to the doctors and it's really inflammed, he couldn't even get the magnifying glass thigny in my ear enough to see properly, but ti's really red and swollen and the worst earache i've ever had. But because it isn't technically earache, and it's to do with my ear being swollen, it hurts when ever I move it which means; sneezing, eating, drinking, coughing, talking and yawning is painful!

Glad you've been to the doc's, you were asking about this a few days back - has he given you antibiotics?
did the gp give you any medication ?
Have you got some antibiotics to take Molly. Did your GP suggest taking anything else for the pain?

I have ear drops.

What annoying is that it gets really itchy but i'm not allowed to sractch the inside of the ear . . . . .

Plus it's got so bad i can barely hear out of that ear, so if my other ear goes funny aswell i'll be nearly deaf.

Paracetamol isn't working.

I was late to biology the other day.

I had to have cotton wool in one ear and the other was on the pillow, so I didn't hear my alarm . . . .
are you using the ear drops properly. remember to stay still after they have been inserted. get mum to put them in
Try something strong than paracetamol as a short-term pain killer then.
mollykins - Earache is not nice at al. I really do feel sorry for you. But . . . you do make me laugh . . . . .
You need to go to a doctor and get him/her to look in your ears with a otoscope and see if your eardrum is inflamed. You could have got some water in your ear which has become inflamed and become a middle ear infection (otitis media). I have had that quite a few times an it`s not pleasant. Check it out.

We have been so far anne.

Plus when i got to the school that day (which was the one i've only just started going to this september), the corridor I needed to go down was closed for decorations, so i asked the guy at recpetion how to get around it, but I ended up coming back inside the same entrance hall i'd just left, but just at the other end, which meant I was even more late.
pardon? did you meet yourself coming back?

Was your outer ear so inflamed that the doc couldn`t put the otoscope in your ear Molly? Thats quite unusual. Your ear must be really bad
Question Author
