All of a sudden, from yesterday in fact, I've gone a bit wobbly, such as when I get out of bed, though not fast and sometimes when I look up or down. There's no pain or nausea though, just a wobbly kind of feeling. Could this be due to something within the ear and is it treatable; would I have to see my doctor? Ta Muchly.

If anyone's still interested, I went to my GP this morning. My bp is normal and it seems I've got labyrinthitis, which is summat to do with the middle earth...sorry, ear...smile...and I've got to give it a couple of weeks and see how I get on!
A girl at work had a attack of labyrinthitis one afternoon - she looked awful and puked up everywhere. Even moving her eyes to look at us made her dizzy.

Glad that you have a diagnosis.

Susan (big smile and a good-bye wave)
Good morning Woodelf. Nice to see you.

I would agree with Sqad actually. I suffer from arthritis in the neck and upper spine and get symptoms like this. Sometimes they only last for a couple of days and I often think that my sleeping position starts them off. I saw the doctor once because I got the feeling every time I looked in one direction or lay flat. He said it was my neck problem. The fact that you get it when you look up or down would seem to indicate it's a problem with your neck. A symptom of old age. Joking honestly.

Take care of yourself.
Much Love

Big Hugs and smiles

Whoops, I didn't read the second page. Sqad was wrong and so was I.

Sorry Woodelf.

Good morning to you too Lottie...big smile and crazy wavy arms...I hope your symptoms are much better these days and I'm thankful mine are only mild ones and not like Susan's colleague. Old age?...I wonder why people save up for their old age...you get it for free anyway!...weak joke, but big smile. Lots of love, kisses and hugs to you Lottie. Many Thanks susan.
Not understanding you. Has the Woodelf's doctor wrongly diagnosed do you think?
lofty....I am bloody sure......one thing that is is NOT is labyrinthitis, for at least half a dozen reasons.
That was a reply to Sqad Woodelf. I'm OK'ish, wry smile.
i hope you feel better soon woodelf.
Sqad, well Woodelf's symptoms are much the same as mine and I thought Laby.etc. made you feel sick as well and very giddy.
sqad. are you saying woodelf^s gp. gave a wrong diagnosis ?
Hi Lottie!
This is interesting. My OH had labyrinthitis a few years ago and he couldn't get out of bed as he was so nauseous and everything was spinning. It was quite frightening!
anne....YES.
yogasun....exactly...that IS labyrinthits, a very frightening and disabling condition that may be relentless, not just occurring when someone gets out of bed or looks up.
Yes, Sqad, I can remember it well. I think he was prescribed a type of anti-emetic that is used for sea sickness...would that be the only treatment? It took a while for it all to settle.
Hi Yoga. Hope you are OK x

I tend to agree with you Sqad, because people I know with laby, etc. have been really incapacitated and felt dreadfully sick.
